The linear barcode is a series of number to identify the product and price by coming up from checkout system screen in store. To make a legible barcode, the following points are a few remarks of how a readable barcode consists and what are strongly recommended to be away from.

A) The Below is Improper Reading Position as listed:

  1. The recessed distance is over than 13mm. (See picture 1)
  2. The curvature is curved over than 30 degrees. (See picture 2)

B) Conditions and Principals

  1. The poor contrast is an improper coloring of barcode combinations causing code unreadable by scanner. What a proper readability of one-dimension linear barcode is low reflective color bars or dark lines (such as Blue, Indigo, Violet and Black) is encoded on the base with high reflective color or substrate (such as White, Red, Orange and Yellow).
  2. The standard size is 37.29mm long by 25.91mm high.
  3. The zoom-in size is limited to maximum 200% when zoom-out size is minimum 80%.
  4. The bars are allowed to cut short and adjust to minimum 18mm high.
  5. To keep quiet zone from violations, edge is needed to leave in blank with left 3.63mm clear and right 2.31mm clear.
  6. Scannable Coloring List of Barcode as picture 3.
  7. Non-Scannable Color Combination Lists as picture 4
